Sunday School
Our Sunday Club is open to children and young people from the age of 3 years. We need some more dedicated, committed people to become teachers and teaching assistants. If you are interested, please contact either our Sunday Club co-ordinator Jeannett McEwen or Fr. Ian Anthony who will explain all that this entails.

Thank you to all who worked so hard quietly behind the scenes in arranging Tuesday evening. The Church looked very beautiful and the buffet in church house was splendid. Thank you to everyone for making it such a memorable occasion. A BIG THANK YOU for the lovely cake, cards and generouse present. May God bless us all in our vocations and ministries, lay and ordained.
God Bless,
Fr. John.

Fr. Darren Smith from the Additional Curates Society writes....
thank you for very kindly forwarding to me your gift towards the work of the Additional Curates society. We pride ourselves in ensuring that every penny
given goes towards providing a priest for one the many poor and populus parishes that we support in England and Wales. I wanted you to know that your gift will make a considerabled difference in so many people's lives, so on their behalf I would also like to thank you.
Please do visit our website at www.additionalcurates.co.uk where you will be able to see for yourself some of the things we are able to do with your money.
Wishing you every blessing.
Diocese of Masvingo, Zimbabwe, Africa.

'Every year we send money to charitable causes from our 'copper collection' each week. We show here a picture of the Bishop of Mashvingo, his wife and members of the Community of the Resurrection. The Bishop of Mashvingo has a diocese in Africa the size of Scotland and only three priests. He is setting up a theological college to train more priests and we hope our donation will help with that. The plight of his diocses came to our attention when the Bishop was attending the recent Lambeth conference.'
Barrie writes,
Just a little note to express my immense gratitude for the whole experience and time of my placement at St. Matthews. Thanks first of all for the lovely gifts I was presented with last Sunday. They are greatly appreciated. Thanks to the congregation and worshipping community at St Matthews, for I have been given a truly Christian welcome. Thanks to Fr John and Fr Ian for all the support, encouragement and opportunities given to me. On reflection this placement has been a truly spiritual experience ......
Many blessings,
Barrie.
